Jive Media LLC specializes in developing rich native applications for next generation mobile devices. We understand that a successful application requires a rewarding user experience that is uniquely suited to its audience. Jive Media was founded by Ogden Kent and Doug Kent (no relation) in August 2008 to focus on mobile application development under the new iPhone platform.

Doug Kent has eleven years of software development experience on web, desktop, and mobile platforms. Before starting Jive Media, Doug was the VP of Engineering at LicketyShip - Sameday Delivery, where he designed and built a national courier delivery infrastructure and enterprise order workflow service. Prior to LicketyShip, Doug was the Chief Software Architect for Better World Books, where he built a dynamic pricing engine that repriced millions of books every 20 minutes across 17 worldwide marketplaces.

Ogden Kent has been developing software and rich user interfaces for eight years. Before starting Jive Media, Ogden was a Senior Engineer at LicketyShip, where he headed up the user experience for the web portal, customer service applications, and courier management system. Prior to LicketyShip, he worked for IO-Informatics, mapping genetic pathways using cutting-edge Semantic Web technologies. Having an eye for design, Ogden has excelled at developing intuitive and attractive user experiences on web, desktop, and mobile systems.
